Chapter 7

1) Click on the number 1 button to call up the chapter selection

function with which you can determine which chapter should

be selected. You can also use the navigation menu and the

buttons Chapter + and Chapter - to jump to the next chapter

or to the start of the chapter that is currently being played.

In order to jump to the previous chapters, you must click on

Chapter - several times. Click the back button to return to

navigation.

2) Click on the number 2 button to open the menu selection.

This allows you to directly access the menus on the DVD (for

example the title and main menu).

3) Click on the number 3 button to select playing time. A line

appears in which you can enter the desired time, simply by

clicking on the numbers.

4) Click on the number 4 button to activate the ‘back to title’

function. This continues the playback from the last position.

5) Start main movie: by clicking on this number 5 button, the

main movie of the DVD will be started immediately.

6) After clicking on the number 6 button, a restart of the com-

plete DVD will be performed. It will be restarted from the very

beginning ( e.g. notice regarding the protection of children,

7) Activating the number 7 button will start slow motion while

your movie is being played. The top left corner displays the

slow-down factor. The speed can be changed by clicking on

forward or backward. Every time you click on these buttons,

the factor will be changed. If you want to return to the normal

playing speed, click on play in the control.

8) Click on the number 8 button to activate replay. This imme-

diately replays a certain part of the ﬁlm and continues play-

back from there. You decide to where playback jumps back

by setting a value for ‘Replay time’. Go to the main menu, then

Settings (User interface, general). Please refer to chapter 7.2.

Of course you can also repeat a long sequence, by clicking

several times in a row on the green clover button. E.g. if you

have a replay time of 10 seconds, every time you click on this

button, the movie will ‘rewind’ back another 10 seconds and

play from there.

9) Clicking on the number 9 button, selects the extended

title selection. This prompts a selection menu for the movie,

consisting of chapters, angles and time input. You can use the

direction buttons to navigate to the desired title and conﬁrm

with OK to play that title.

0) When you activate the extended chapter selection by click-

ing on the number 0 button, this calls up a selection menu in

which an image is shown for every chapter (in every title).

begins with a menu, use the direction buttons on the remote to

navigate the options and start the ﬁlm. When using a trackball

only, press the left trackball button to show the controls.

If you want to start the ﬁlm directly, press the Play or OK but-

ton in the DVD menu.

Note: Depending on the system, playback of copy protected

DVDs may only be possible with add-on software. However,

even so, such discs may result in unusual behavior.

General information about Region Codes:

DVDs carry a code that allows the disc to be played in a

speciﬁc region (usually where it was purchased). This system

is divided into 6 DVD regions. Europe is region 2; therefore, in

Europe you can only play DVDs on your Casablanca that carry

the region 2 code. The same goes for other regions of course.

Region code 0 can be played anywhere.

Buttons and Help menu functions:

You can operate the DVD player comfortably using the op-

tional remote control buttons. When using a trackball, you can

activate the DVD menu control anytime using the left trackball

button. Many other functions can be accessed by pressing the

Help menu (press the small left trackball button). The single

operation controls in the Help menu are as follows:

7.2.1.4 DVD navigation

Press the Navigation button to enter the Navigation options.
