Bogart SE 5 User manual
Should you instead want to export to a storage medium
connected to your network, you should set this destination.
Immediately after selection, the system looks for networked
drives, and lists the results. Please select your storage medium
and confirm the selection. This export will then be started with
the DVD button.
Note: The tray is closed automatically after a minute if you do
not close it manually.
7.2.5 Internet-Browser
A special adapted version of the Firefox internet browser gives
you access to the Internet. Control is handled via the remote
control but also using a keyboard and mouse/trackball (it is
best to use a 4-button trackball/mouse). We advise to use the
wireless RelaxVision keyboard (available as an option). To ac-
cess the Internet, the DVC device requires an external router
(ISDN or DSL, DHCP-capable). The connection can be made
via an Ethernet cable, a WLAN adapter or a power outlet con-
nection. A PC is not required.
Use the help function to find out more about the many func-
tions. When viewing the video stream in the browser, you will
also be able to use the functions Pause, Play and Chapter
+/-. The displayed help text varies, depending on whether you
are working with the remote control or the (optional) infrared
keyboard. The start of the Internet browser may take some
time, depending on the configuration of your network and the
Internet connection. The internet menus are shown on the TV
screen you are using for editing. A separate monitor is not
required. The internet browser plays audio only from Flash
content (website-embedded player). Other play options are
currently not supported.
Even when you get messages that tell you to download (miss-
ing) players, this will not be supported by your system. It is not
possible to download data. PDF files can be displayed, it is not
necessary to download them. There are technical reasons for
this limitation and it is also a simultaneous protection against
viruses.
7.2.4.4 Creating / exporting photo CD/DVDs
In the Options menu, you can choose to create a photo disk
or export photos. Click the relevant button to enter the ‘Photo
selection’ menu for assembling photos in order to burn a CD/
DVD or exported to a USB device.
With this function, you can store your photos, exchange them
with friends or hand them to a print service. In the list on the
left you see – as in the playlists menu – all pictures that have
been imported so far. You can select these using the P+ and
P- buttons and add them to the list to the right (selected for
CD/DVD) with the OK button. The Info button opens a window
with information with respect to the entry selected in the list on
the left.
With the left and right buttons, you will be able to navigate
through the three views ‘all photos’, All and ‘Album contents’.
In this menu you can also use the Navigation button to navi-
gate the lists faster and the ‘yellow star’ and ‘green clover’
buttons to organize the added items in the right list.
Once you have created a list of your photos that fit onto the
CD/DVD, press the DVD button to create the CD/DVD. This will
open a window in which progress of the creation of the CD/
DVD can be seen.
The bar being displayed informs you with respect to its current
progress. Please make sure that a CD/DVD has been inserted
previously. After a confirmation question, a CD-RW or DVD-
RW will be formatted (deleted) before burning.
If the CD/DVD has been burned successfully, the disc tray will
open, allowing you to remove the finished disk. If you do not
want to export the images to a CD/DVD, but to a USB stick
instead, you should select USB/Firewire as the destination in
the top menu.
Immediately after selection, the system looks for connected
USB media, and list the results. Please select your storage me-
dium and confirm the selection. This export will then be started
with the DVD button.
Progress of the export operation will be shown in a progress
bar.
